Hesitant stepping through the world of darkness, groping search into uncertain darkness that bare, low-light environments, the preferred sound spheres of Mathieu Vanderkerckhove (Amenra, KINGDOM) are, is occupied by various Church Of Ra activities impressive. In "Now and Forever, the new album of his project SYNDROME, with minimal resources (guitars, piano, synths and a little singing) within 28 minutes detailed and subtle moods generated interwoven discarded. The Düsterambienzen and drones is shrouded in such sectors rose to their feet, lie down as coarse-cold hands around the neck tie, to paralyze and leave a feeling of anxiety and loneliness. This is indeed disturbing - but also, surprisingly, very euphoric, because in all that darkness always remains visible light in the distance.
The album includes contributions from Amenra singer Colin Van Eeckhout and NEUROSIS-visual artist Josh Graham. As sweet as the sound meshes the artwork was created.
